We will have guest speakers and offer permaculture workshops
Bring you acoustic and percussive instruments.
You may also want to grab a lawnchair.

There will be a grill out and time to share a meal together.
So bring a yummy dish to share or any thing you wan’t to fire up on the grill.
(please label vegetarian/non vegetarian) We will provide ice tea and napkins but please bring your own dish, eating utensils and a cup.

We will be dowsing out the land to find a location for the community garden labyrinth. We will be joined by the Appalachian Dowsers Association

Evolver Spores: Food & Consciousness

In the last fifty years, the meteoric rise of agribusiness giants like Monsanto and Cargill has wreaked havoc upon our global food supply, bankrupting small farmers while endangering the web of life with pollutants and genetically modified foods.  But a growing movement is striking back and taking action to maintain our food security in the 21st Century. These “greenhorns” are creating CSAs, tending rooftop gardens, building aquaponic systems, learning permaculture principles, starting Transition Towns and eco-villages, urban homesteading, saving seed varieties, and practicing slow food ethics to ensure agricultural sustainability.  This month, The Evolver Network invites you to join our regional Spore chapters as they discuss our evolving consciousness around the topic of food.

The positions we are looking to fill include:

Community Organizer Intern: Help build transformational communities around the world, growing our Evolver Spore chapters and representing at festivals and conferences.

Friends of Evolver Intern: Connect, sustain, and support our bonds with like minded organizations in the transformational community.

Evolver NYC Event Intern: Planning, organizing, and executing events in the city.

Daniel Pinchbeck’s Research Assistant: Work side by side with Evolver’s Executive Director to help with research, outreach, and organization.

“Finger on the Pulse” Intern: Research, create, and maintain an editorial calendar on upcoming books, films, events, etc.

PR/Marketing Intern: Help spread the word about Evolver content, events, courses, books, and other related activities, building our press contacts.

Social Media Intern:Develop ideas and concepts for building our social media presence and audience, and create content for social media outlets.

Technical Assistant WebEx Intern: Learn expert knowledge on all aspects of Cisco WebEx platform, applications and software.

Learning Lab Intern: Help in the research and development of our online learning program courses, as well as assisting registered attendees with customer service inquiries, concerns, and requests

Basic Requirements: We are looking for people who can work 8-20 hours per week with a 3-month commitment. It’s helpful if you have your own laptop to bring to the office. It is likely that interns will work in different areas simultaneously

Compensation: Internships are unpaid but college credit is available, as well as many more perks including:

• Free access to Evolver online learning webinars ($4,000 per year value)

• Opportunities to connect with leaders in the transformational movement: visionary writers, artist, healers, and designers
• Attend Evolver and “Friends of Evolver” events, including festivals, conferences, and workshops based in the NYC area
